Wartook
is a picturesque little village on the western fringe of the Grampians,
adjacent to the Grampians National Park. Nestled in a beautiful
farming district sheltered from the southerly winds, the beauty
and the grandeur of the of Grampian ranges is an impressive panorama.
From the Asses Ears in the south, to the spectacular cliffs of
the Mt. Difficult range to the east and rugged Mt Stapylton to
the north, the views are magnificent. Wartook provides a good
base to stay in the winter when the wildflowers are at their best
and to visit Aboriginal art sites of the Victoria Range.
